Members gain access to a wide range of learning, networking, and advocacy opportunities designed to provide information, connection, and support. All events are online to facilitate access statewide except the Fall Annual Meeting:

• Weekly Email Updates – sent every Wednesday with the latest news, meeting links, and upcoming events.
• Monthly Newsletter – featuring in-depth articles on topics of interest at both the state and national levels.
• Monthly Membership Meeting – typically includes leadership from the Division of Senior and Disabilities Services (SDS) and other key partners.
• Hot Topics Hour – a monthly one-hour Zoom session exploring a specific issue relevant to all members.
• Care Coordination Hot Topic – a monthly one-hour Zoom meeting focused specifically on issues affecting care coordinators.
• Care Coordinator Monthly Meeting– a peer space for collaboration, discussion, and problem-solving.
• Compliance Workgroup – an open and supportive forum where members bring questions about regulations, licensing, and billing. It’s a safe place to ask questions and learn together.
• Finance Workgroup – similar in format to the Compliance group, this monthly discussion focuses on rates, billing, and other financial issues.
• Annual Events – two statewide gatherings each year:
  • Fall Face-to-Face Meeting – an in-person, multi-day event in Anchorage.
  • Spring Conference – a virtual, multi-day event open to members statewide.

Many AADD events offer continuing education hours, supported by SDS for professional licensing and care coordination recertification.
